About Us
Community Solutions Aid (CSAID) is a registered non-governmental, non-political, and not-for-profit organization committed to minimizing poverty and social inequality. We exist to strengthen marginalized communities and support the creation of resilient, inclusive societies where people have the actual skills and competence to break the repeated chain of poverty and inequalities.
CSAID was officially established in June 2019 as a post-crisis initiative, in response to the lasting impacts of Liberia’s fourteen-year civil conflict and the devastating Ebola outbreak, which severely weakened the country’s social and economic systems. Our work is rooted in supporting communities to rebuild livelihoods, restore dignity, and strengthen their capacity to withstand current and future crises.
We work directly with communities through thematic programs in democracy and civic engagement, agriculture and entrepreneurship, access to education, health, and sustainable livelihoods. We place local ownership, resilience, and long-term impact at the center of our approach.
Our Vision
CSAID will become a paragon of community development and an architect of vibrant communities that offer zero tolerance to poverty and social inequality.
Our Mission
CSAID works to minimize poverty and social inequality by essentially working with local communities in the areas of democracy and civic engagement, agriculture and entrepreneurship, access to education, health, and sustainable livelihoods development. We do so by stepping out of our comfort zones to reach out to communities, organize and inspire them to take actions in shifting their own developmental initiatives in a more sustainable way.
